Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It has been quite a long time since we last had a nice X-mas with kids in Gulu. I did this with the LIA kids at the Charity for Peace Commuter Centre about 10 years ago, we had a total of about 300 kids in attendance, and am sure it brought back their spirit which had been demoralized by the war. There was lots of singing and dancing and gifts which was very exciting for the kids who never get anyone to give them gifts anyway let alone hosting a X-mas party.

This time we will do it with the Chrysalis kids at our new Centre in Koro .These kids have been coming for the whole of this year and are very enthusiastic about their programmes. They always look forward to a new weekend since we still run programes only at weekends. After all that they have been through during the war, and just recovering, it would be quite healing and really very nice to have a Christmas party and gifts for them. It will be a really exciting moment for all the kids in the area. We have a total of about 100 kids coming to the center every weekend.

A small change can really make a big difference for these kids. So I appeal to all our friends and fans to work together towards this very exciting event for the kids. Please let your friends and families know about this by sharing it on your Facebook pages and other social websites.
