Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The DECAUK is a race to finish 10 Ironman-distance triathlons in 10 days, the fastest cumulative time wins - although the main aim is simply to finish!
What does the DECAUK entail:
24 miles of swimming, 1,120 miles of cycling, 262 miles or running.
The DECA, in its 1 a day format, has only ever been held 12 times and has a finish rate of just 47%. That is just 79 men and 2 women finishers since it all started back in 1992 in Monterrey Mexico.
It will involve growing fatigue, cold, hallucinations, night sweats, muscular breakdown, blisters and a whole lot of fun.
The location for the DECAUK is the iconic Eton Dorney lake, home of the 2012 Olympic Regatta. Competitors from across Europe and America will competing.
