On 26th July 2015, I became the first blind person to summit the Eiger. It was an amazing experience. I was part of Eigerparaclimb2015. Throughout the 3 days of the climb I was sight-guided by Mark McGowan. The climb was filmed, and the resulting film called 'Defiance - Eigerparaclimb' can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/138147095 

Eigerparaclimb2015 won the 'Inspiring Others award' at The National Adventure Awards. A very proud moment.

As a Guide Dog owner, I know how valuable these life changing puppies can be - so I want to raise enough money to name a Guide Dog puppy, and call it Eiger.
