A team of doctors and nurses from the Belfast
Trust are competing in this year's Belfast Marathon to raise awareness of cervical screening.  The team are running in aid of Jo's Trust, a charity dedicated to cervical cancer and screening. 

Lead Nurse Colposcopist Gwen Thompson stressed the importance of cervical screening in cancer prevention stating that Northern Ireland has one of the lowest uptakes of cervical screening in the UK." We hope that our participation in this year's marathon will encourage more women to come forward for their smears when called".
