Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
Story
Thanks for taking the time time to look at my Just Giving page.
On 13th August 2016 I will be taking part in a 12 hour hike along a 25 mile section of Hadrians Wall starting at Brocolitia Roman Fort in Northumberland through to Lanercost Priory in Cumbria.
I would never be described as athletic so it's pretty obvious that this task is going to be tough for me. Therefore, your support for this great cause is a massive boost to me personally and for Alzheimer's Society. It will also be 12 years to the day (13thAugust) since my Dad, Thomas passed away. Alzheimer's fortunately didn't affect my Dad but he loved to walk in the countryside in particular the Lake District and he would never have dreamed that a bit of a couch potato like me would undertake such a task. I will complete this because I'm sure he'll be there in spirit pushing me to the finish line.
