Thankfully, burpees are not alien to me, although undertaking approx 208 burpees a day for 24 days straight might hurt a bit!!

But I am up for the challenge, because now more than ever, we need to make sure we keep the support channels open for all. 

No5 provides free, confidential counselling and mental health support for children and young people aged 11-25 who live, work or study in the ‘RG’ postcode area. Over the last year they have supported over 1,500 young people and their families – 843 through counselling, 500 through outreach (in particular their mental health workshops in schools), and hundreds of worried parents who don’t know what to do or where to turn.

Following lockdown, demand for their service has never been higher – they have seen a 126% increase in demand in September and October this year alone compared to last year.

It costs No5 £35 for each counselling session and with only limited statutory funding available, they largely rely on fundraising to keep this service going. Find out more from their site about what they do: https://no5.org.uk/ 

I have personally relied on No5's counselling service as a teen when I needed someone to talk to and to help me through a particularly challenging time in my life.
