Story
On the 7th of August 2014 I had spinal fusion surgery. After this I was bed-bound for a week, and house-bound for a month. I also wasn't allowed to exercise for 3 months. Less than 24 hours after the op I walked up and down the ITU with my physio, and decided that if I could do that, then I'd be able to get back in the gym in no time, and so decided I wanted to do a triathlon.
I got back in the gym in November, and signed up in December. The date of my event is the 8th of August 2015, which will be exactly a year since the day I decided I wanted to do it.
Everyone who knows me, knows that when I'm not using my free time to revise, I'm in the gym getting ready for this challenge!!
I want to raise money for MNDA as sadly in 2012 the world lost Russell Shafier to MND. I knew Russell as he was my Mum's Boyfriend's Sister-in-law's brother (Step uncle in short) and he was such a fantastic person, taken far too young.
My target is £550.00 but I'd be thrilled to raise even more! Thank you all in advance for any donations and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
