Story
Hello!
My twin brother Phil alongside my good friends Amy and Carrie be running the Manchester Marathon in aid of Multiple Sclerosis on Sunday 19th April 2015.
Multiple Sclerosis is a condition of the central nervous system, where damage occurs to the nerves fibres which prohibits them sending messages to different parts of the body. Symptoms vary due to the amount of nerves you have! Some people cannot walk, some struggle to talk and symptoms often deteriorate.
There is no common cause nor cure; however money donated will go towards the MS society to fund research, develop treatments and provide support to sufferers and their families.
MS affects around 100,000 people in the UK, and that's just those who have been diagnosed. That number can be multiplied by numerous amounts to recognise family and friends who are affected too.
We wouldn't have changed Mum for the world; we learnt so much from her, and our family bond is still unbreakable. The money you raise however will help to provide vital research into the disease with the hope that one day, all families can live without the illness.
We are fortunate enough to have friends who are also running the event this year, ( Amy and Carrie... aka team peanuts) who have kindly offered their mileage for money towards the MS.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you!! :-)
