In memory of Richard Pover
We are here at every step to support you with and beyond cancer.

Story

On June 13th last year I lost an amazing friend, Richard Pover (or Po to his friends) to testicular cancer after an 19 month long battle. This year, 12 months on, myself and a number of my friends and housemates from University will be drawing inspiration from him and embarking on a 62 mile walk from Sheffield, where we met, to Po’s hometown of Tarporley. We will be walking all day and throughout the night in order to raise as much money as possible for Weston Park Cancer Charity.

Throughout Po’s illness he was always exceptionally brave, determined and always kept positive. This was helped a lot because of the support Weston Park hospital gave him. It provided a place for him to stay close to the University action as well as giving him some of the best care and staff he could have hoped for. It also enabled us to visit and lift his spirits but he was so inspiring it often ended up being the other way round!

It is for this reason that we are trying to raise as much money as possible for such a deserving charity and the money raised will go towards helping people like Po and any donations you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
