Story

CCAS are supporting Communication Matters in their 3.4 Challenge.

Chailey Communication Aid Service [CCAS] is one of the Specialist AAC Hubs in England commissioned by NHS England, assessing and provide communication aids for children and adults with complex difficulties in Sussex and Surrey.

CCAS are taking on the 3.4 Challenge by agreeing to walk 3.4 km each day between 21st March [one year since start of lockdown] and 3rd April [3 point 4] to raise funds for Communication Matters [CM] who are struggling financially due to the pandemic.

The coronavirus pandemic has meant that they have been unable to hold any of their usual events in 2020 including their 34th Annual Conference. As a result they have experienced a huge loss of income in the past year. Without significant fundraising in the coming months the charity will not be able to continue to provide information services for children and adults with significant communication disabilities and the people who work with them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
