Dreamflight is a UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida. Established in 1987 and operating annually since, Dreamflight believes that fun and joy are just as important as medical research and equipment - especially for children who perhaps can't wait long enough for the breakthrough they need or whose illnesses and treatments have brought pain, distress and disruption to their lives. They name the Children VIC's "Very Important Children"

In 2018 we were lucky enough to have 2 Children go from our local community who were part of the Jedi group and amazingly both of them have connections to Herston Caravan & Campsite. Only 192 Children from the whole of the UK were lucky enough to go so the odds on 2 of ours getting chosen were quite astronomical.

The journey was amazing, not only for the kids but for the friends and family back in the UK, all following their fun daily online and please believe they really did have some!!!!

From the moment that they landed, greeted by the Florida Highway Patrol who escorted them to their hotel. This was followed by fun all through the holiday, meeting Spacemen, Superheroes, more rides than we could list, parties and to top it off swimming with dolphins.

Chaperoned by an army of volunteer Doctors, Nurses, Psychologists, and numerous British & American carers, all of whom can’t be thanked enough!!!!

As a community we want to put a bit back and have arranged a sponsored charity motorbike ride from the Ace Cafe in London, stopping at “Loomies Moto Café” on route then arriving at Herston, Swanage, Dorset.

Our aim is for 500 bikes to ride from London to Dorset following the Blue Print Blues Brothers car trying to raise as much money each as possible. We will also stop and collect on route. If every rider could raise £100 it would be amazing!!!!
