Story
In September, it will be a year since I lost a very close friend of mine to a heart condition called cardiomyopathy. Matt Lammas touched many lives and many good things have been said about him; he was a talented musician, a funny, witty and charming man…and an all-round good guy. He never failed to make me laugh, entertain me and make me jealous of his guitar skills. In 2009, Matt received a heart transplant. After this, he campaigned for the British Heart Foundation to help give people the same opportunity that he had. Sadly we lost Matt three years after having his transplant; however, without the help of this charity he wouldn’t have had those extra years.
In memory of Matt, myself and Gareth Haines, who also knew and was touched by Matt, are running two races in the space of a week. 'Survival of the Fittest' (10k Obstacle course) and then the Cardiff half marathon. This is all to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Please help me raise money for this great cause.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated!
