Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have taken the bold and some would say insane decision to run my first (and most probably after the inevitable pain last) marathon.
I will be running in memory of Ryan Nykolyszyon and fund raising for PAPYRUS, a charity now very close to my heart.
Ryan sadly passed away on Monday 29th October 2012.
Ryan was a kind son, brother and friend to all that knew him. He was a talented footballer, cricketer and golfer and all round sports fan.
I first met Ryan through our football club and from there our friendship grew and grew over the years.
He was sadly taken from us following suicide. My aim to raise money is important, but more important is my aim to raise awareness for PAPYRUS who work to help and prevent suicide in young people.
Knowing Ryan very well and indeed Ryan knowing me I know without a shadow of a doubt he would find the idea of me running a marathon hilarious and something he would have to see to believe. I plan to run the race with Ryan in my heart and thoughts and knowing he will be looking down enjoying every second of my huffing, puffing, moaning and swearing around the 26 mile course!
If you were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of meeting Ryan, please make a donation, no matter how much you can spare, it all helps, as does spreading the word about this charity.
Please dig deep as your donations will not only push me on the day but also during the long and hard training sessions from now in the build up to the marathon itself.
