In recent years I have had replacement hips and knees and now suffer from severe osteoarthritis. 

At the age of 81 I want to throw my hat in the ring for the last time. 

To finish at the same time as the main field will require me to start at 0000 which will mean at least six hours in darkness remembering that I will be walking with the aid of sticks / crutches. 

I hope to average one mile per hour over unforgiving terrain.
