Story

I am supporting Macmillan through the summer of 2018 by taking part in a number of cycling challenges. I start on April 29th on home soil with a 60 mile Worcestershire sportive and 4500 feet of climbing.

The next event is the Dragon ride L'Etape in Wales (June 10th) with 100 miles and approximately 8500 feet of climbing, including one 30% gradient! and the infamous Devil's Elbow.

One month later (July 14th-15th) is the two-ton tour starting at Hereford, heading over the Cambrian mountains and finishing in Aberystwyth, with the return leg the following day. This weekend clocks up 200 miles and 20,000 feet of climbing.

I finish the season with the revolver 24 event on the Brands Hatch circuit (September 15th-16th). This is a 12 hour closed circuit relay  through the night which depending on pace will cover 90-100 miles and 8500 - 9500 feet of climbing.

A challenging summer ahead and the training has started already with hill repeats on the Malvern hills (and on the bike in the shed when its too cold or dark!) Any donations to Macmillan would be gratefully received.

Many Thanks
