This November, three members of the 'Jennings Park Massive' - myself, Ian and Eloise - will attempt to run our first 10k event when we take part in the MoRun Manchester.

It's a challenge that will be easier for some than others given our fitness levels, but we're all ready to give it our all to do the best job we can.

While it's a chance for us to work on getting fit, we also want to use our entry to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Adam Hamer - someone who was introduced into our close-knit bunch of friends by Naomi, but who sadly lost his battle with cancer late last year.

Our aim is to try and raise at least £750, but the more we can raise for the cause the better.

Training is already underway and we're determined to do Adam and Naomi proud and raise as much money as possible for Macmillan to continue the work that they do to provide support for those suffering from cancer, and also for their loved ones.
