Story

We lost our dear friend Andrea this year on July 7 after she battled for six-months with auto-immune disease. Despite amazing care from the hospitals she frequented, the damage to her liver was too severe for her to survive until a transplant.

Andrea was a sweet, quirky and brilliantly intelligent friend.  An instagram legend and the friend who was good at literally every subject at school and everything she put her hand to in fact.

We all miss her hugely.

The truth behind Andrea's particular auto-immune disease - especially of the liver - is that, it is still not well enough understood. We know it mostly affects women, often after giving birth. But we don't know exactly what triggers it or who is most vulnerable - and treatment, while much more effective than it used to be, still lags behind better-known, better-understood and better-funded diseases.

We want to raise money in Andrea's memory to fund research into this disease - so that other mothers, and other families, don't have to go through what Andrea's family & loved ones have.

We want to remember her in this walk, so please do give what you can.  Thank you x
