Uk Allstars Ice Hockey tournament · 29 July 2016

Sadly, thousands of families in Wales live every day knowing their child’s life will be short. At the moment, they often face this without any care or support. Alone. Afraid. Isolated. Tŷ Hafan’s ambition is that when a child’s life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own.

Story

I am immensely proud to be Captain of Tŷ Hafan Ice Hockey team in 2016, this is a great honour and my aim is to raise a large amount of money for the charity and inspire others to do the same.

On the ice

I have been playing hockey in various forms (roller, inline and ice hockey) since the age of 11.

Today at the age of 40, I play Ice hockey for the Cardiff ice hounds and will Captain Ty Hafan in 2016.

Team Tŷ Hafan will face off against a number of other charities at the Uk Forums Allstars tournament , which is being played at Cardiff's impressive Ice arena wales rink in July 2016.

Tŷ Hafan

Tŷ Hafan is one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities and offers care to children and support for their families, throughout Wales.

If you think this means they simply provide a place where children can come to die, you couldn’t be further from the truth.

Ty Hafan offer comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families in the hospice, in the community and in their home so they can make the most of the time they have left together.

They allow parents and carers to relax and recharge their batteries. And they make sure the needs of brothers and sisters are never forgotten.
