Last year I did the Aspire Channel Swim challenge (in your local pool) and everyone was super generous and I raised £230 for Aspire charity for people with spinal injuries. This year I thought I would up the ante and go there and back..to France and back to Blighty. That's 44 miles OR 2816 lengths of my local pool.

Dates 31 August to 31 December 2016. (I have 2 weeks when I won't be near a pool in that time) so about 3 miles a week. I am going to try my best to be done before Christmas starts but hey..

I will post more about Aspire...it's not a big charity but a life changing one and I have a thing about supporting smaller charities - we must all make tough decisions about how or what we support so appreciate this may not be everyone's cup of tea..but it is mine and swim I shall.
