In 1982 my Mum died of cancer at the age of 36.  I have done a number of things over the years to raise money for cancer - Race for Life, National Three Peaks, Great North Run, Moonlight Walk.  This year, in memory of Mum's 30th anniversary I am going to raise funds for Cancer Research UK by running the Preston Guild Marathon, which is a first for the City and a first for me!

Preston's motto is 'Proud Preston' and I think Mum would have been proud of the challenge I am undertaking and the adults her children became.
