Kaye Smith, Vicki Schubert and I will be shaving our heads on the 25th October in support of both the RDA Raymond Terrace & Lower Hunter and the Cancer Council. All funds raised in support of these lovely ladies will be shared equally between the two charities involved. 

The reason for rising to this challenge resulted from me starting to grow my hair to cut, so that the hair could be giving to the Cancer Council to make a wig for someone who has lost their hair through the effects of their cancer treatment. When mentioned to my colleagues at work one of them quick as a flash said he would sponsor me to have the whole lot shaved off. As I had been thinking about doing something of this sort for some time I agreed to take up the challenge. Other colleagues quickly came forward to say they would sponsor me too. We would love to receive your support too.

I agreed to have my head shaved so long as I received at least $1000 in sponsorship. So there you go a gauntlet thrown down, picked up and now we are up and running towards the Bushies Ball on the 25th October, 2014 where this hair cut will be centre stage. Start time is 6pm.

Tickets are $30 per person or $70 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Under 5's are free and 6 to 15 year old's are $15 per head. 

The menu for the night consists of a choice of two soups, Spit Roast Beef, Roast Veggies, Veggies and Salad followed by Apple Pie, custard and/or cream.  Please bring along your own nibbles and alcohol (no glassware - wine bottles accepted) and soft drinks/teas & coffees are available on the night.

Tickets can be bought for the event through the RDA Office on 02 49871402 or from any of us three. We need to be able to finalise numbers to the caterers the week before the event.
