As you can see from my  Photo  My Dad loved a Pint of Guiness as he was a Proud Irish Man , He suffered with Kidney Failure for 3 years until he lost his Brave Fight against this Disease in July 2011....He was on Dialysis for all of this time , with Optimism and courage ...You could say my Dad was one of the Lucky ones as he wasn't diagnosed until he was 84 , he was 87 when we lost him ..This Disease isn't an age thing .Babies and Children can also have it ..

The money raised goes towards Research and Building Dialysis units which cost Millions to build and Maintain because they are life saving ...They are amazing places and the machines are very complex as they act as a filter to purify the blood ...As the Kidneys fail to do this , and if these machines were not available we couldn't live ....

I had to witness my Dad on these machines 3 times a week , and the unit he attended was home from home , so the staff were like family ...My Dad got weaker and weaker the longer he was on Dialysis , but we as a family are so grateful for Dialysis as we had him in our lives for longer ,So he could enjoy his Grand Children and Great Grand Children ..If Dialysis wasn't available he couldn't have even seen them being born ....People wouldn't survive this Disease..

Kidney Research isn't a well publicised charity , so it relies heavily on its supporters...

This proves that money raised as already improved Kidney sufferers quality of life and survived until a new Kidney can be found ...Years ago without this Research People just didn't survive , so already Kidney Research has come a long way ..in helping people live a reasonable life..

Raising Money for  Kidney. Research is so important , to save lives and  research how to combat this awful debilitating disease...Dialysis units are vital to keep patients alive , until a donor can be found sometimes they are on Dialysis for years , making living a normal life almost impossible ...!!!!so let's raise as much as we can together ...
