In March 2023, Sara’s husband and Jed and Jorge’s host father Jay was involved in a serious motorcycle accident, within minutes of being notified Thames Valley air ambulance had a crew assembled and were in air en route to the scene. The quick thinking and speed they were able to mobilise could very well be the reason Jay remains with us today. Each Air Ambulance they send to incidents costs £3900 ($7250 aud and €4535), it is Sara, Jed and Jorge’s  goal to raise that amount so another family can be as fortunate as ours. To help raise this amount the three of us have pledged to compete in the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon as part of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance team
