As many of you know, in a fit of madness I have signed up for my 1st ultra marathon in June (the Comrades in South Africa) and I need to achieve a qualifying marathon time in order to secure the place. 

Since watching it go past my flat in London last year, I've been really keen to get a place on the London Marathon and am delighted to be running for The Blue Cross in one of their charity places. 

Most of you know how much I'd love to have pets of my own, but it's just not practictable and fair on them at the moment. I have supported The Blue Cross for years in lieu of having a pet of my own as they do a great job in rehoming abandoned pets, which I have seen first hand. You only need to see me dog sitting to know that this is something dear to my heart! :-) 

Rather than reach out to everyone for each sporting event I have lined up this year, I aim to use this London Marathon fund-raising opportunity to incorporate them all. So, if you are interested in donating, I would be extremely grateful and it will help me 'go that extra mile' - or 26 or indeed 56! Gulp.
