I’ve been wanting to fundraise for Cancer Research for a long long time, but have been searching for a bigger challenge to make it even more worthwhile.

So in 2017, myself and Meghan will be running 12 events in 12 months – both in aid of Cancer Research.

I’m running because I am privileged to know people who have pulled through the other side of cancer, and subsequently given the all-clear after treatment. Without Cancer Research, this may not have been
the outcome – the thought is terrifying. It is an indiscriminate and cruel
disease, and it seems that every person you speak to will know (or have known and lost) someone to the cruellest of illnesses. I am running to honour the extraordinary bravery in each and every cancer patient, and to support the vital research into the causes and treatment of cancer so that we can help put an end to this horrible illness that affects so many.

So throughout the course of 2017, I will be running one event every month – all of these will be either a full marathon or half marathon. Bearing in mind I am very much the marathon-plodding-novice,
this is a huge commitment. The training that is involved for a marathon is a full-time effort so to sustain that over 12 months will be quite the challenge for me. BUT I am lucky enough to have the supportive backing from Meghan who will be on the same journey as me.

Any donations – as small or as large as you can – will be SO appreciated. Both by myself and of Cancer Research.

If you cannot donate for any reason, then I would absolutely love to have your support at one (or all!) of the races that I’m taking part in. Even run one with me if you fancy the challenge ;)  So far I have booked:
