Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'll be getting the big chop in January so I can donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust. This is a charity that provides free wigs to young people who have suffered hair loss due to chemotherapy.
I would love to raise awareness and some money along the way to see if we can make a difference to at least one person's life.
As some of you may be aware, my mother in law has recently been diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately, is terminally ill. However, her attitude since receiving this devastating news has been inspirational. Her willingness to help others, whilst she is currently struggling with her own health, is incredible and has encouraged me to help where I can too.
I am also doing this for my dear friend Georgia who we sadly lost December 2016 to a brain tumor.
Cancer is a terrible disease and is unfortunately, one that touches all of us in one way or another. This is why I believe it is so important to make a difference where we can. If having 12 inches of hair chopped off for charity will help raise money, awareness and give a young person their confidence back through a wig -then I am more than willing to take on the challenge!
No matter how small a donation every little helps.
I’ll be having my hair cut on the 5th January at Gooseberry hairdressers on Mapperley Top.
Who have very kindly offered to do the big chop for free to get behind the cause!
