Story

We are continuing our support of this amazing charity by entering into a challenge…a very big challenge.... A Trek along the Great Wall of China!!!!

Not only will we trek at great lengths, we will also be contributing to rebuild the wall itself on one of the old sections in Badaling.

5 Days trekking the Great Wall will be both amazing and grueling, so grueling that on some parts of the trek (due to the amount of steps) it can take over an hour to travel just 1km!! This will be something we have both never experienced before, something I'm sure you will all agree is a huge challenge to support a charity very close to our lives.

Why close to our hearts? Well on 18th Feb 2013, Kate was sadly taken from her friends and family, fighting Ovarian Cancer for only 2 months she was most certainly taken too soon. There is one thing for sure during her illness Kate showed the strength, determination and bravery that we should all hold in every day life let alone while dealing with a life threatening illness.

This trek is our way of showing not only our support, but also hopefully some of the traits Kate herself showed.

So please help us spread the word, spread awareness and make this cause better known. Early detection can increase survival rates dramatically. Below is some information on how your donations can help...

£10 could enable 20 GPs to update their knowledge of ovarian cancer for early diagnosis.

£20 could help continue to provide free resources for women with ovarian cancer and their families.

£50 could allow 200 people to learn about the symptoms of ovarian cancer by receiving our symptoms leaflet to help with earlier diagnosis.

£100 could enable 200 GPs to update their knowledge of ovarian cancer and best practice for early diagnosis.

£500 could pay for two days of medical research into new treatments for ovarian cancer.

So please dig deep and donate as much or as little as you can! Your help and support is much appreciated J
