I'm running two major fun run's this year in aid of ABC - Action Against Breast Cancer, a fantastic local charity who are carrying out lots of excellent research into combatting the disease in the future.

This charity is particularly important to me as my Mum actually worked for ABC while she was well, which she found very rewarding, giving back to a cause so close to home. Now it's my turn!!

First up is Reading Half Marathon on the 1st April, and unlike an April Fool - it's actually happening!! Training has begun, and the half marathon course is a physical and mental battle - one which I really enjoy and have competed in for the past 3 years.

With a gap mid year to raise some money for Macmillan as part of the three peaks challenge (climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours), my training will resume for the Great South Run.

This takes place in Portsmouth in October, a fast, flat and competitive 10 mile race as I found out to my dismay last year! Here's for another excellent year of runs and challenges and I do hope you can support me through these!

This page will stay open until after the Great South Run in October to cover both of the fun runs and will expire on Mum's Birthday, 6th November when all funds will switch to ABC.
