Story
In June I will be doing the three peaks challenge. This will
involve me climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales all in the space of 24 hours. I’m undertaking this madness to mark the fact that 2020 is a decade since we as a family lost my dad, Ian Lang.
He was a truly remarkable man who gave such a huge amount to the world, especially across Africa. With that in mind, I will be raising funds for an organisation called The Virtual Doctors. This is a charity that works in Zambia and Malawi (countries so close to his, and my, heart) with cutting edge mobile technology to deliver essential healthcare to those who could not otherwise access it. They use a Smartphone App to connect workers in rural clinics in Zambia and Malawi with volunteer doctors all over the world.
My Dad spent a huge amount of his life delivering real change to the lives of people in both these countries, and he was always a believer in the simplest solutions being the best. I think this would have been right up his street. So please give what you can.
