We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

On Sunday 11th September I'm taking part in the 2016 Great North Run. For those that don't know, it's popular a half marathon taking place through the city of Newcastle.

I'm going to be supporting Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. As a man you have a 1 in 8 chance of getting it at some stage in your life. Having your prostate checked regularly by your GP is extremely important.

Getting a prostate examination is quick and simple and could save your life. Many men are very apprehensive about getting checked out but there really is nothing to worry about.

This video shows this all too clearly with Karl Pilkington from Sky TV's Idiot Abroad.
