Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 7th September, I will be joining my dad and little brother for the Great North Run. The run is due to take place a year after my grandma, Bett Pryce, passed away after suffering a sudden and unexpected stroke.

I will be taking part in the run as a way of saying thank-you for the work that the Stroke Association does to support stroke survivors, families and carers and for the hard work that goes into funding research into the prevention and treatment of stroke.

While I had previously seen the substantial effect that stroke can have on a person, I hadn't known the condition to take an otherwise healthy person's life so suddenly as it did with my grandma.

As a result, I will be pushing myself to finish the 13 mile run to raise money for the Stroke Association. As a personal challenge, I aim to finish before my dad - despite his fifty half-marathon experience.

Please help me to succeed by giving as much or as little as you can! I massively appreciate any donation you can make - it will be going to a very worthy cause.
