Story
Throughout June, I’ll be completing Refuge’s “100 Miles in June” challenge — walking 100 miles across the month to help raise awareness and vital funds for survivors of abuse. Every donation, no matter how small, can help Refuge continue providing support to women and children escaping violence and fear.
As someone who has been affected by and survived domestic abuse, I know how hard it can be to find the strength to rebuild your life at a time your self believe has been stripped away.
1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, on any given day, Refuge supports thousands of women and their children rebuild their lives, free from fear. Just £52 could pay for one safe night in a refuge for a woman and her children fleeing an abuser. Every mile matters. Every pound counts. Will you support me in going the distance for Refuge?
