Story

Hello lovelies...

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Ten years ago this May we lost our beautiful friend Olivia Chase to long QT syndrome, one of the conditions screened for by CRY.  To mark this significant year we wanted to do something big in her memory, and given her lack of excitement for the school run all those years ago we thought we'd do something she'd giggle at for being so ridiculous and walk 100km from London to Brighton non-stop.

The walk is taking place on the 24-25 May 2014 and we want to raise as much money as possible for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), a charity devoted to reducing the number of sudden deaths in people aged 14 - 35. It's a really important charity that means a great deal to us.

Every week at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people (under 35) die in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions through SDS (Sudden Death Syndrome).  Your money will go a long way to help subsidise CRY's screening programme and CRY's Bereavement and Support Programme.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
