Story
This is not a natural thing for me to do but over the last few months I have been painstakingly pounding the streets training for the Dublin marathon. At first I was just a training companion but after much persuasion finally agreed to do this and I'm so glad I did.
For those who don't know, I lost my Dad in 2003 to heart disease, he was just 60 years of age and far too young to go, leaving a hole that will never be filled. He was a great man who believed you could do whatever you wanted to do if you put your mind to it and just tried.
So, please support The British Heart Foundation in honour of Dad and my plight to get round the marathon in one piece albeit without a few toenails.
Thank you!
