Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday the 20th of March I will be running the Stafford Half Marathon and in doing so I wish to raise money for Katherine House Hospice in Stafford in memory of my Godfather, Gary Addison.

Gary was diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of Brain Cancer in July 2011. He went through a range of Chemotherapy & Radiotherapy treatments for 14 months. He sadly lost his battle on Wednesday the 6th of February 2013. During the 7 weeks that Gary was cared for by Katherine House Hospice the whole family was given the support that they needed to help them keep going and make life as normal as possible through what was a very difficult time.

Since Gary's death his daughter, Holly has raised an unbelievable amount of money for Katherine House Hospice. You may have seen her being rewarded for all her hard work on ITV's Surprise Surprise in October 2014. I would like to add to Holly's amazing efforts and give to this amazing charity.

Since 1989, Katherine House Hospice has provided a range of services offering help, care and support for over 10,000 people with advanced life-limiting conditions and their families across mid-Staffordshire (https://www.khhospice.org.uk/). Please help me to contribute to their continued hard work and care.

Thank you
