Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, I sadly lost my dear mother to cancer in November 2016. On the 6 week lead up to her passing she was cared for unbelievably by the team at Saint Catherine's Hospice in Scarborough. They showed so much compassion, care and love, not only towards my mother, but the whole family and for that I will be eternally grateful.

One of Mums passions was walking her dogs, and with this in mind I am going to complete the Lyke Wake Walk in Yorkshire in her memory and to raise funds for the Hospice. The walk is a complete crossing of the North Yorkshire moors along their main east-west watershed, a distance of approximately 40 miles. I plan to do this on one day (28th May), and will be joined by my Uncle Chris and a handful of my Mum's great friends who were all such a great help in the tough times and continue to have a positive influence on mine and my families lives.

Mum knew that we had planned to do this and I am sure she will help us through the hard parts.

It would mean a lot to me and my family if you were able to donate what ever you feel comfortable with to help us give back to the Hospice that will forever have a place in my heart.
