In memory of Allan Reid
We support people with Paget's disease to improve their quality of life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 20th June  we will be competing in Tough Mudder in Dumfries. Tough Mudder is an endurance event series in which participants attempt 10–12-mile-long, military-style obstacle courses.

This page has been set up to raise money in memory of Kenny's uncle, Allan Reid.

He died of cancer (osteosarcoma) as a direct complication of Paget’s disease, which is a metabolic bone disorder in which the normal repair and renewal process within the bone is disrupted. Paget’s progression to cancer is very rare and largely incurable. My uncle Allan suffered it bravely until his death in August of last year at the age of only 57.

All donations will go to The Paget’s Association, to help fund research into finding a cure for Paget’s disease.

Mentally and physically it’ll be tough, exhausting and a real challenge but We'll be doing my bit on 20th June and hopefully you can do your bit too by donating generously.

Thanks in anticipation – of your donation that is - not the event!

About the charity

The Paget's Association is the only national charity dedicated to helping people with this chronic bone disorder. It works to provide information, education and support to members of the public and health professionals and supports research into all aspects of Paget's disease.
