We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

On July 10th, students from North West Spirit Taekwondo Club will take part in the '100 Rounds of Sparring' event; a gruelling slog through 100 minute-long rounds of martial arts combat! It will be a sweaty and painful experience, but we'll be doing it for an excellent cause.

As you may know, Stef lost one of her best friends, Caro, to bowel cancer in March 2022, at the age of 40. Caro was one of a kind: friendly, quirky, fierce and fiercely funny; with an endless collection of leggings and a nickname for everything and everyone she encountered. She was always doing lovely things for other people, so it seems right that we dedicate our efforts to helping other bowel cancer sufferers in her honour.

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. It funds research, provides information and support to patients and their families, educates the public and professionals about the disease and campaigns for early diagnosis and access to treatment and care.

Please help to support this important cause and sponsor us if you can! You can also share the link to our Justgiving page with your family, friends and colleagues. Cheers.
