Story
On the 3rd October myself, my brother Matt, my mum Sally and cousins Lily & Conor will be running the Chester Marathon. With just 6 weeks to go and it looking like the event will definitely go ahead we've decided to raise money for a charity close to our heart, Everton in the Community.
Last year we very suddenly lost Paul, our Dad, Husband & Uncle. He was the rock of our family and the one person everyone turned to whenever they where in need. Dealing with the grief of loosing him on top of being in the middle of a national lockdown come with its challenges to say the least.
Amongst all of this, exercise has been our safe haven. Going to the gym, getting out for a run or a bike ride has helped to keep our minds occupied and allowed us to release massive amounts of positive energy. With this in mind we decided to set ourselves the goal of running a marathon. As well as the Chester Marathon Matt will also be completing the Sandman Half Iron Distance Triathlon & Manchester Marathon within a 3 week timeframe and Lily & Conor will be doing the Hackney Half Marathon on 25th Sept.
Everton in the Community charity uses exercise as a tool to promote health, education, social inclusion & equality. Collectively exercise has played a massive part in our own mental wellbeing in the last year and will continue to in the future. Also, of course our Dad was a passionate Blue so this charity is the perfect match for our journey.
The last 12 months has taught us how precious life is. We encourage everyone to go and achieve the goals they've always dreamt about, make amazing memories and never live life with regrets.
Anything is possible and there are no limits! Thank you so much for your donations xx
