Brody is 6 years old and has Crohn's disease. Just before his birthday he was diagnosed with the illness after 15 months of tests and procedures. He has taken it all in his stride. He is 1 in 10,000 young children to have Crohn's. Luckily for him, he is under the best consultant, Dr Rafeeq Muhammed, at Birmingham Children's Hospital and is already on a treatment plan to help him. There are regular visits to BCH for tests and appointments.

Crohn's is one of the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), the other form is known as Ulcerative Colitis. Crohn's is a chronic condition, this means it is ongoing and life-long. At present there is no cure.

To a stranger, Brody is a happy, inquisitive and charismatic little boy but he is living with this ‘invisible' illness. So to help with the continued research and care that Crohn's & Colitis UK have offered to us and many others, we were supposed to be going to Bristol in August to walk 10k but due to Covid-19 it has been cancelled. Instead we are doing the MY WALK IT 10k from our house to his grandparents house and back. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
