Story

Living with Parkinson's is extremely difficult. Imagine not being able to do some of the most simple tasks that were once part of your daily routine ...like cooking, doing up your laces or making a cup of tea. To care for someone with Parkinson's in their late stage of the disease, seeing what they are going through, the pain, the discomfort in their body, not being able to eat etc... is heartbreaking and it is my motivation for change.

Because of my first hand experience of having a loved one with Parkinson's, I have decided to cycle 200 miles in August to raise money for Parkinson's Care and Support UK. Every money raised will improve the lives of those living with Parkinson's. Thanks in advance for sponsoring me.

Every hour two people are told they have Parkinson's. It can affect anyone and there is currently no cure. As there is no cure for Parkinson’s, we aim to ensure that people live well for as long as possible with the condition, whilst funding non-pharmaceutical research to help prevent, slow down progression and reverse Parkinson’s.We provide FREE exercise, respite care, neurological physiotherapy, information, advice, support groups and are developing a CBT Helpline to help people with Parkinson's with anxiety and depression.
