Story

Co-owner of Peace & Loaf Geeta Ral sadly lost her husband, Kuly Ral, in May 2012 after he had been diagnosed 13 months earlier with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma brain tumour. Kuly was 34 and had
his whole life in front of him. He was a son, brother, husband of Geeta and father to, then, two year old daughter Priya.

Kuly was an inspirational, motivated and hardworking man. He was a music producer/writer/DJ
who dared to dream. His achievements include a number of record breaking
albums, performing live at celebrity weddings, a number of international
recognition awards and two hits recorded with stars such as Snoop Dog and
Ludacris; a shining example of his hard work, commitment and dedication

Kuly, the eldest of the three brothers from RDB, sadly lost his battle with brain cancer on the 22 of May 2012 in Houston, Texas, USA. He had been undergoing specialist treatment to try and cure the disease in the United States.

The Kuly Ral Memorial Fund has been established to help The Brain Tumour Charity continue
its ground breaking work to find a cure for this unforgiving disease. Kuly will
always be remembered for his unwavering humour and bubbly personality, not to
mention his unmatched musical talent.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the UK’s largest dedicated brain tumour
charity, committed to fighting brain tumours on all fronts. They fund
scientific and clinical research into brain tumours and offer support and
information to those affected, whilst raising awareness. Their
aim is to improve understanding, diagnosis and
treatment of brain tumours.
