What you probably don’t know is that about 764,000 children and adults currently have Cerebral Palsy.

Each year, 8,000 to 10,000 infants are diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

These children have disabilities that do not allow them to
walk or do easy movements..

  of them cannot walk independently
• 11%
  walk using a hand-held mobility device
• 31% have
  limited or no walking capabilities

The MOVEMENT CENTRE Believe that early intervention is key and are helping young children develop their mobility skills with a specialist therapy called Targeted Training. To date Targeted Training therapy has helped nearly 600 children gain control of their movement.

Through a course of therapy children can gain head control, so that they can communicate better with their family and friends. Children can develop the skills to sit unaided, so that they can play with their toys. Some of the children who come to The Movement Centre have learned to walk independently. Learning any of these new found skills can be life changing.


£3,125 will fund one child to go through 12 months of Targeted Training Therapy. 

In order to raise this money I have set myself a target of 5,000 Press-Ups to be completed within 12 hours. 

I chose this challenge because it seemed impossible.... 

Just like it seemed impossible for a child with cerebral palsy to ever walk. 

Together we can help these children have a better quality of life through early intervention and this amazing therapy.
