Story

OUR MISSION......TO COMPLETE THE LICHFIELD HALF MARATHON IN MEMORY OF OUR MATE GERALDINE RUTH AGNEW.

Geraldine's Angel's have been mates for a good few years and our friendships were formed whilst trying to drag our sorry selves to the gym on a regular basis (well, some of us !!) We don’t always agree on everything but one thing we do agree on is that our time at the Club, some of us 20+ years, was most definitely enriched whether we liked it or not (get down and give me 20 push ups!!) by our gym manager and friend Gee who we tragically lost to a brain aneurysm at the end of last year.

She was beautiful, inspirational and motivational and helped us all individually achieve our goals.

In our sorrow we decided we needed to celebrate her life and thank her in some way. The only way in our minds was to personally challenge ourselves because that’s what she was all about !
10k you say???

NO!! Bring on the Half Marathon...We must be mad.

This is no easy task!!  We are a very mixed bag of abilities, from no running at all to ex marathon runners (oooh that was a few years ago mind) and we do all like the odd glass of wine! It’s been really hard, we’ve had a few calf injuries and some dodgy knees, but our camaraderie and the Angel on our shoulder has seen us through and we are getting there...Hopefully we will make her proud of us!

PLEASE PLEASE SPONSOR US...

We are raising money in aid of Headway
