Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This September I will be doing 70.3 miles of swimming, cycling and running, a half Ironman.

I am hoping to raise £10 for each mile I do for Border Terrier Welfare.

Having grown up with BTs I know what wonderful dogs they are. Unfortunately some of them, usually through no fault of their own, fall on hard times.

BTW work tirelessly 24/7, across Britain, to help Borders find loving forever homes and to ensure they receive the love and care they deserve.

The money from your donations will go towards the dog's veternary fees, housing, food and transport.

Please spare even just £1 to not only make my 70.3 miles slightly less painful but to help this amazing group of people brighten up some little dog's lives.

About the charity

Started in November 1981 with two strays in Southampton, we now cover the UK, receiving some 250 referrals annually, with dedicated volunteers and no paid staff. A committee of 12 is elected annually at an October AGM. 10 of these are charity trustees, who meet 4 times a year to review progress and determine strategy. BTW receive invaluable support and assistance from 7 regional breed clubs, and from the more informal btposse, and borderfest groups, from whom fund raising challenges have emanated.
