In early June we received the devastating news that our beautiful wife, mum, sister, sister-in-law and auntie was terminally ill.  At only 59 years of age we, as a family, struggled to come to terms with the prognosis. She spent her last weeks in the Foyle Hospice, Derry, and the staff were incredible in not only their love, care and devotion to Philomena, but also in the support they have given to us as a family.  Philomena sadly passed away on 23rd August and she will be sorely missed by those who knew her.  On 22nd September, Philomena’s husband and children - Robert, Jonathan, Ciaran and Robert jnr (in her words, “my boys”) and other family members will be taking part in the Male 5K run/walk to raise funds for the Foyle Hospice in memory of Philomena.
