Story
Hi folks! 🤗
It's 10yrs now, since my dear Dad passed away, aged just 60, after living with Motor Neurone Disease and I've decided to walk the West Highland Way, in 5 days, 96 miles (154km) this October, by myself- hoping to help raise awareness of this cruel disease and of course lots of funds for research into MND.
We hiked a lot together over the years and often spoke of doing the WHW together(Dad had walked it himself many years before) but sadly his ill health prevented this from happening and feel this would not only be a HUGE personal challenge for me but I'd also be doing it in his memory.
After his diagnosis, Dad helped to raise awareness of MND and a huge amount of funds over the years for research at the Euan MacDonald Centre @ Edinburgh University and I'd like to take on this challenge to hopefully do the same whilst following in his footsteps.
Please dig deep and ALL donations - no matter how big or small will be very much appreciated folks! These guys do an amazing amount of work with research into Motor Neurone Disease and one day a cure WILL be found!
Thankyou all very, very much!! Means a great deal to me!
P.S please feel free to share and spread the word...and awareness! Many thanks! 😁
Leanne 😘
