Story
On 6th August 2022, I start an 8 day trek to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and I want to use this opportunity to raise as much money as I can to help the people of Ukraine.
I am funding all my own travel, climbing and other costs so the money I raise will all go to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Please donate if you can.
According to the British Red Cross, more than 6.6 million have already left Ukraine, and it’s estimated around 8 million are displaced internally. Hundreds of thousands of people including families still have no food, no water, no medical care, and no heat or electricity.
We have all witnessed the incredible courage and resilience of the Ukranians but they desperately need our support too and everyone is looking for how they can best help. I am using my climb to raise money for the Ukraine Crisis Appeal run by the British Red Cross as together we can surely make a difference.
How will my Donation Help People in Ukraine?
As the security situation allows, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will continue to respond to existing and emerging humanitarian needs. The Red Cross has supported people affected by this conflict for years and this will not stop now.
