My 6 year old son Liam will be hiking up Yorkshires highest peak called Whernside for Bluebell wood children's hospice and in memory of Rosie Jo Tennick.
Whernside is 736m 2415ft and will be a 6 mile hike in total.
Liam has a passion for hiking and has already walked up the following peaks in the Peak District, Bamford Edge, Win Hill and Mam Tor with no problems.
But Whernside will be a massive challenge for Liam and with some training in the Peak District I think the boy can do it.
Bluebell wood children hospice looked after my close friends after their daughter Rosie Jo passed away on 17th September 2015.
Rosie was only a day old and Bluebell wood gave my friends the opportunity to spend some precious time with Rosie Jo before the funeral and the staff who are mainly volunteers were a tremendous support throughout their time at Bluebell wood childrens hospice.
This is a weather depending hike and we will be staying in North Yorkshire for 4 days so the event day may be changed or the hike could be rescheduled for another day.
