Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was asked by my sister Caroline Thompson if I would be prepared to run for Meningitis Research to raise funds in memory of a little girl, Patsy who died at the age of two from meningitis. Her death had a profound affect on the neighbourhood in Birtley and after my success raising in excess of £2500 for the Dorothy House Hospice I jumped at the chance of taking part in the Great North Run again and raising money for such a good cause. I am also feel honoured to have been asked and accepted by the family and those close to Patsy to be part of their fund raising efforts. All in all I believe there are 35 of us running in the Great North Run in Patsy's memory.
